Decisions Determine Destiny
Everything begins with a decision. Decisions Determine Destiny. You are living in a world of past decisions. The better the decisions you make, the better your life. A decision means that you made your mind up on something that determined a course of action. When you made that decision and acted upon that course of action, the principle of FAITH or the law of faith went into action to bring about an outcome, to bring about results that will play out in your life experiences for years to come.
ONE BAD DECISION
After many years of watching the fruit of bad decisions, I have determined that the one wrong decision that I made cost me 50 years of suffering in my mind, body and soul. After experiencing much pain, sorrow and wasted time, just like you, I am trying to find out the WHY of all the madness that has happen to me in my life.
In the journey of the “WHY ME” syndrome, I had to reach back into biblical history to find the answer. I learned that for every result or experience that you encounter in your life that there was a cause that brought about the happenings, and for every cause there was a sufficient reason as to your WHY.
Your WHY is connected to universal laws and spiritual laws that has been misused, overlooked, misguided, and downright ignored. Though these laws are no respecter of persons, universal and spiritual laws were established according to the Word of God.
Another interesting dynamic about universal laws is that they will operate whether you agree with them or not.
Universal Laws
•The law of water seek its own level
•Matter expands when heated
•What goes up must come down, the law of gravity
•You reap what you Sow
Spiritual Laws
•FAITH is a law of basic truth, a principle of belief. Belief can be summed up as a thought in your mind that becomes law when acted upon. What you believe you can achieve. If you believe in the Word of God because it is truth, it will change the way you act, then you can begin to believe in the eternal verities of life that the Word of God is the Spirit of truth Jn 14:15
•Your thoughts can alter your physical, emotional and mental state. Biblical history shares a story about a King who used his thoughts improperly and became hard hearted therefore his mindset was altered.
Nebuchadnezzar was a proud and a great king. His was strong minded and sharp; he made right decision when he went out to battle and as long as he exercised the principles of faith by choosing to obey the Lord, thinking properly, doing the right things and making the right decisions, his life, mind, body and soul was healthy and made whole.
Nebuchadnezzar’s name is written in biblical history to shine light on the importance on HOW you think and WHAT you think; how it can shape your destiny and shape your life.
When Nebuchadnezzar’s power, pride and wealth consumed his mindset, he began to think differently, speak differently and to act differently. After a period of time he began to believe what he thought about himself Dan 5:20.
When the principle of faith was ignored, neglected, and violated Nebuchadnezzar transformed into the person he believed himself to be. He believed that he was a warring king, fearless and proud, untouchable, accountable to no one. He thought in this manner, and he acted in this manner, he became the person whom he believed himself to be. His thoughts, his actions and his emotions changed his fate, and changed his destiny.
The faith principle began to work on his behalf according to what he believed.
He did not believe in God anymore therefore the blessing was taken away. He no long embraced dominion power. His strong mind wasted away, his wealth and riches no longer served him nor did he have access to them. His fame was gone!
After Nebuchadnezzar lost his mind, and transformed into a lycanthropy, he had to take a class and learn how to pass the test. He might not have scored 100% but he did please God and was restored to the Excellency of a King.
The awesomeness of God, Nebuchadnezzar’s first lesson was how to respect a holy God Dan Chapter s 4 and 5.
FAITH is a law of basic truth, a principle of belief. Belief can be summed up as a thought in your mind that becomes law when acted upon.
What you believe you can achieve. If you believe in the Word of God because it is truth, it will change the way you believe, then you can begin to believe in the eternal verities of life that the Word of God is the Spirit of truth Jn 14:15. As a person thinks feels and believes, so is the condition of his mindset, body, soul and his circumstances. “As he think in his heart so is he” Prov 23:7

During this pandemic most of us were forced into quarantine which turned our routines and lifestyle upside down. In a short span, without notice, humanity was challenged like never. The economy has been a challenge and for most families, employment had to come to a halt. We are now faced with a deadly disease with no cure in sight, which pushed us into isolation. Death has consumed our thoughts, forcing us to adapt to a new way of living and for most, this can lead to a nervous breakdown. Fear and worry about the economy, anxiety over health concerns for you and your loved ones, changes in sleeping or eating habits can cause anxiety and depression, which are both attacks of our mind which prevents us from having inner peace with God. Our minds or thoughts promote fear, doubt, and unbelief. Remember that anything that you give power to will dominate your mind and your life.
Confronting the Voices of Fear
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Although many will say that you should ignore the negative voices that play over and over in our minds, some may block it out or replace it with positive thoughts. Despite this advice, I encourage you to confront these voices by allowing yourself to engage in a mental debate inside your head, let the enemy know that you are not afraid to be challenged proving that you have the power to overcome the spirit of fear. It is with this boldness and intention of coming face to face with your fears, only then, you can take control of your mind and the truth will be discovered about who you really are. You will soon discover that you possess strength like a warrior, resilient and powerful. The goal is to conquer the negative energy or spirit of influence in your life by relinquishing its strength and reducing the power of fear to its lowest denominator in your mind and in your life.
God uses our fears, failures, struggles, tragedies, impurities to allow for changes to be made to our character which challenges us to be better. The importance of battles allows every great leader to face challenges, it is through this war that we know how much strength we have on the inside, so we are able to face future battles with courage instead of fear. We do not understand why we go through struggles or challenges, only our creator, I call God as the master architecture of our lives and he knows our expected end.
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
-Matthew 17:20 (KJV)
The opposite of FEAR is FAITH. There is no doubt that we are living in a season where even believers like ourselves are living in fear. In this season of turmoil, trials and tribulations, our faith will always be tested. When we operate in fear of the unknown, our faith begins to decrease. The Christian faith is crucial in this world of uncertainty. God is calling upon you, his children to come up to a higher dimension in your spiritual walk, now more than ever before. As we unite and pray on one accord, we have the power as believers to abort evil agendas and uproot evil intentions that are already in motion.
For Faith to manifest in our lives, we must eliminate the spirit of fear which continues to operate in dark places. There are negative energy or obstacles that have prevented us from acknowledging that power within you. Once you have discovered that you too possess an internal power, that can move mountains, then you can live your life making decisions based on that power known by Christians as the Holy Spirit, which resides deep within our hearts and soul.
To be able to increase our faith, we must obtain the word of God through the study of the scriptures.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”-Romans 10-17
“When your faith is tested and you feel weak you must pray “…Lord, increase my faith, help thou my unbelief That my faith may neither be barren or unfruitful Lord, increase our faith, and help mine unbelief”
POWER IN SURRENDER
“Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you” -1 Peter 5:7
When we decide to let go of our fears, we make room for God to direct our paths.
Wherever you are in the world, God is in our presence wrapping us in his arms with divine love. I feel protected and safe as I realize that the power of God’s love lives in me. If fear or worry seep into your mind, remember to meditate on the goodness of God and let your thoughts remain constant in him. As Christians, knowing who we serve alone should bring hope and eradicate fear in our lives through our faith.
As our nation embarks upon election, virus is still lingering, social media continues to share words of hate, we as believers, should have faith knowing that we are not of this world and our Father in heaven will provide even during famine or pandemic.
We can overcome challenges in life with peace in our hearts knowing that our source is truly from God for his word reminds us in Psalm 40:11 that his love and faithfulness is steadfast and will keep us safe forever.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4-4 KJV
